My Online Shopping Nightmare: Dishonest Promos & Non-Existent Customer Service! 😡

I want to warn everyone about my terrible online shopping experience. It's a cautionary tale about how some websites operate. I experienced firsthand how they can be dishonest, don't honor promos, and make it impossible to collect offers when the site is full of glitches. There's no customer service 24 hours, no agent, and it's utterly unprofessional. My direct feeling and conclusion after all this is that I will NOT return and I do NOT recommend them. I felt compelled to leave this review and engage in a conversation with customer service because they actually offered to "Return them (even though their correct style and prescription) to RETURN AND REORDER to get the bogo they messed up and admitted." A simple solution? Credit back to my card used. Nah, that's too easy for them.

Customer: I'm calling because I'm incredibly frustrated. Your website promised a Buy One Get One Free offer, but it didn't apply at checkout, and now I'm being told I have to return my glasses, which are the correct style and prescription, just to reorder them to get the promo you messed up. This is ridiculous.

CS Rep: I understand your frustration, and I apologize for the inconvenience with the promotional offer. Our system sometimes requires a reorder to correctly apply certain discounts.

Customer: But why can't you just credit my card? I have the right items, and you admit the mistake was on your end. Why should I go through the hassle of returning and reordering, leaving me without glasses in the meantime, when a simple credit would solve everything?

Unfortunately, our current process for rectifying such promotional errors involves initiating a return and reorder to ensure the discount is correctly processed within our system. I can assure you we'll expedite the reorder once the return is received.

Customer: That's just not an acceptable solution. It feels like you're making me jump through hoops for a mistake your website or process created. I've already spent my time. I just want the offer honored without this unnecessary complication.

The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
